Austriacka grupa założona w 1993 w Wiedniu. Przez wiele lat istnienia jej styl pozostał właściwie niezmienny: ascetyczny black czerpiący zarówno z norweskiej, jak i szwedzkiej szkoły grania z dodatkiem klawiszy. [7] zawierał stare demówki, nagrane jeszcze z pierwszym wokalistą Tharenem. [9] był zbiorem coverów (m.in. Terrible Certainty Kreatora i Crionics Slayera).
Thurisaz i Kubik założyli blackmetalowy Heidenreich (A Death Gate Cycle w 1998 i Trance Of An Unholy Man w 1999). Lucia-Mariam Faroutan-Kubik (żona Kubika) założyła Grabesmond i wydała dwa albumy: Mordenheim w 1997 i Xenoglossie w 1999. Moritz Neuner bębnił również w Atrocity, Graveworm i Leaves' Eyes. Peter Kubik popełnił samobójstwo we wrześniu 2024 w wieku 49 lat.
